The Trio is Rintals showpiece spiral staircase. It has been developed in conjunction with the world famous Giugiaro Architettura design studio in Milan with the aim of creating a spiral staircase that stands well above its competitors in terms of sophistication and design.
The Trio Spiral Staircase features thick polished hardwood treads, a robust central column, an amazing LED lighting system that activates when you step onto the staircase (optional) and a wide choice of sophisticated balustrade designs. Here are just a few of the many great features of the Trio Spiral Staircase.The Centre Column/ Stack
The Trio spiral staircase is built around a robust steel pole. The pole is encased in a "sleeve" of spacing modules which can either be made from solid hardwood to match the treads and handrail, or from powder coated steel tube. Sandwiched between these spacing modules are the treads and some translucent polycarbonate spacing discs which are used to adjust the height of the steps and which light up when the lighting system is activated. The resulting "stack" of components forms the core of the stair. In essence you get a choice of material (wood or steel) and colour (from the many available) for the tread spacing modules at the centre of the stair.
The Treads
The treads of the Trio Spiral Staircase are made from 40mm thick boards of top quality hardwood. They can either be a standard triangular shape or curved in either a concave or convex direction to create a fan shape if you prefer. The treads are factory finished with a special high performance varnish that is exceptionally tough with high anti slip, anti scratch and anti discoloration properties. There are a number of standard colours for you to choose from or if you prefer you can supply a sample of your own wooden floor and we will match the colour. You can also choose to have alternate treads coloured differently if you wish.
The Balustrade
One of the great things about the Trio Spiral Staircase is that you can pick and choose from many different types of balustrade. There are horizontal steel tubes, vertical tubes, cables and more. Whichever you choose will have a profound effect on the overall style of your staircase and just in case you should ever feel the need to refresh the look of your Trio the balustrades are completely interchangeable.
